Dear Beautiful Ones,

I hope you’ll join me and a circle of lovely women this fall at the first-ever Gaian Soul Retreat. We’ll replenish and refresh ourselves with creativity, contemplation and community. We’ll connect with Mama Gaia as she dresses up in her Autumn glory. We’ll align ourselves with the energy of Summer-Turning-to-Fall, rejoicing in our own personal harvests, and preparing ourselves to turn inward for the coming winter.

September is one of the most beautiful months of the year in the Pacific Northwest, with mild weather and little-to-no rainfall.  And Whidbey Island is a jewel, with luscious beaches, woods and meadows for you to explore, and small towns full of art galleries and cafes when you’re ready to shop.

“Joanna’s workshop was relaxing, playful, lighthearted and provocative — a beautiful fit of symbol and sacred space.” – J.B.

I was so moved by the experience it brought tears to my eyes, not out of sadness, but out of a profound sense of connection.” – T.S.

“I love how you inspire transformation through creativity, nature, spirituality.  I think your gift to us is your vibration, how you stand for women reaching points of empowerment through those things.  You focus and create, and lead by example!  THANK YOU for such a needed message in the world.”  - O.L.

At our Retreat, there will be:

  • Practices for connecting deeply with Mama Gaia, the natural world
  • Walks through the woods, marsh, and meadows
  • Time alone and time together
  • Sacred art play (for artists and non-artists alike!)
  • Wisdom sharing in council circle
  • A ceremony to mark the Autumn Equinox and glean its wisdom for our lives
  • Tarot play
  • Scrumptious, locally-sourced, hand-crafted meals by Elaine Nichols of the Radical Rolling Pin
  • Lodging at Aldermarsh Retreat Center in a contemplative setting of gardens, marsh, meadow and woods
  • Time to relax in the hot tub and in the grass-roofed, wood-fired sauna
  • Movement and dancing
  • Giggles and great big belly laughs
  • Sweet dreams

>>>Limited to 20 fabulous women!<<<

What will we be doing?

The basket is still being woven, but one of the days will look something like this:

  • A yummy breakfast.
  • Morning circle. Joanna presents a teaching on Connecting with Mama Gaia, followed by time alone on the land doing guided nature practices.
  • Return to circle to share your experiences.
  • A succulent, finger-lickin’ lunch.
  • Sacred art play (fun!!).
  • Time on your own, or with others as the spirit leads.
  • A scrumptious dinner.
  • Ceremony and/or song & dance circle.
  • Sauna, hot tub, time together, or time alone.
  • Dreamtime.

Of course, we can’t plan the magic — all the synchronistic things that happen, the moments of insight and healing, and the bonds that form as the days and nights unfold.

I can promise you that I know how to hold the container for the retreat in sacred space, in such a way that encourages these magical things to happen!

I invite you to connect with your inner guidance, and see if coming to this retreat for replenishment and connection, is right for you.  (I know that the just-right women will be signing up!)

Brightest Blessings,

Joanna

P.S. The Retreat will begin with dinner on Thursday, September 20th and finish up on Sunday afternoon, September 23rd.

People are talking about Joanna’s workshops and retreats

“It was a wonderful weekend. You made everyone feel very welcome and comfortable.  This made it easy to share feelings and thoughts during the workshop. It was interesting to see where people were on their path and listen to their deepest thoughts about healing ourselves and the earth.

My deepest connection with our circle and the earth was during the Dance of Life and our Nature Observation Exercise.  Even though we all were in different places in the woods sitting and observing, it felt like we were all connected just as with everything  in nature. . .  As a seeker, I appreciate and honor the experience you shared this weekend.”  — M.L.

“Fabulous – clear, instructive, equal time for process and instruction. Warm, knowledgeable, creative.” – R.S.

“Joanna has a warm, calm energy that facilitates learning and sharing.” – L.M.

We’d love to have you join us for three and a half days
of inspiration, renewal and connection!
